Subordinate Legislation: The updating and uploading of Rules, Regulations, Notifications, etc., and linking them with relevant sections of the respective Principal Act under which the said subordinate legislations have been made is the proprietary of the concerned Ministry/Departments in the Government of India administering subject matter of the Legislation.
Under no circumstances shall the Legislative Department for Updating and Uploading of Central Acts or concerned Ministries/Departments for updating and uploading of Subordinate Legislations are liable for any loss, damage, liability or expense incurred or suffered that is claimed to have resulted from the use of this Site, including, without limitation, any fault, virus, error, omission, interruption or delay with respect thereto.
Efforts have been made to divide the Acts into sections, schedules, etc., to facilitate the readers for the purpose of clarity. However, for ensuring correctness of the references, the reader may access the PDF copy of the whole Act.

1As regards the Central Act enacted by Parliament is concerned, in the Act,â
(a) where there is no specific commencement clause, the said Act will come into force from the date on which the assent has been given by the President;
(b) where there is a commencement clause, and it provides for such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette appoint, then, that Act will come into force with effect from such date as may be notified by the Central Government;
(c) where in the commencement clause, it is provided that different dates may be appointed for bringing into force of the different provisions of the Act, then, those provision or provisions in the Act will come into force with effect from such date as may be notified in the Gazette of India.
In all aforesaid instances, the updation or modification in the Central Act will be done within 15 days from the date of issuing of notification in the Gazette of India for the commencement of the said Act or a provision or provisions of the said Act.
